Jodee Armour

Jodee Armour, 81, of Kennett, formerly of Piggott, died Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010, at National Health Care in Kennett after a struggle with cancer.

Jodee was born near Kennett April 28, 1928 and was the daughter of the late James Edgar and Mary (Beard) Taylor. She was married to David Armour and he also preceded her in death.

She was of the Pentecostal faith, worked as a nurse's aide, loved to garden, work with flowers and sing.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Rita Jo Day and Sherrie Diane Nash; two brothers, James E. Taylor and Charles Taylor, along with one sister, Allene Craig.

She is survived by two sons, Lady Don Ward, Sr. and wife Lucy of Kennett and Lonnie Lee Ward and wife Judy of Paragould; one sister, Hermajean Craig of Kennett; 11 grandchildren and she will be truly missed by a host of other loving family and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Feb. 24, in the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Piggott with Bro Carl Brown officiating. Interment followed at the Mars Hill Cemetery at Crockett. Pallbearers were Larry Ward, Jr., Donald Ward, Jason Morris and Bobby Akridge.
