Friday morning this year's homecoming royalty was introduced in the annual assembly at PHS and presiding over this year's court were homecoming queen Corrie Lehmann, daughter of Larry and Patti Lehmann, and volleyball beau Trent Edwards, son of Steve and Luann Edwards.
The senior maid of honor was Erin Somers, daughter of Junior and Chris Somers, and senior maid was Mariya Faka, a foreign exchange student being hosted by Duane and Annette Dutka during her time in Piggott.
This year's junior maids were Jillian Parker, daughter of Shawn Parker and Jennifer Frederick, and Whitley Blue, daughter of J.C. and Tonya Helms. The sophomore maids were Alex Scheffler, daughter of Bradley and Sandy Scheffler, and Macy Buchanan, daughter of Dewayne and Lorie Weeks. Freshman maids were Hollie Holcomb, daughter of Candice Holcomb and Lance Holcomb, and Meagan Massey, daughter of Jerry and Michelle Massey. The eighth grade maid was Julianna Jordan, daughter of Rex and Kelly Jordan, and the seventh grade maid was Kaitlin Hobbs, daughter of Freedom Hobbs and Misty Chandler.
Serving as attendants this year were Micah Harrell, daughter of Michael and Amber Harrell, and Pearson Hearn, son of Shawn and Crystal Hearn.

What a shame that Richard Clark couldn't join Jim Richardson and "Hoot" Gipson as honarary Grand Marshalls in the parade. I remember that Richard spent more time in the enemy backfield than the opposing quarterback. Probably the most active Mohawk guard we ever had.But a fine homecoming in spite of the rain.
