The fair will run Monday, Sept. 14, through Saturday, Sept. 19, with activities scheduled for each day. Prior to the opening there also will be a variety of related activities, including the annual talent show, scheduled for 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at the Piggott Community Center.
There will be youth day activities Saturday, Sept. 12, with an antique tractor pull getting underway at 10 a.m. Various pageants also will be held throughout the day in the commercial exhibition building.
Set up will get underway at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 14, and from 3 to 8 p.m. The staff will be checking in poultry, rabbits and waterfowl.
Judging will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 15. The annual parade is set to roll through the streets of Piggott. Following the parade, around 7:30 p.m. there will be lawnmower races at the fairgrounds.
At 1 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 16, judging of poultry, rabbits and waterfowl will be conducted, and from 1 to 8 p.m. livestock and horses may be checked in.
Beginning at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, judging will be held for swine, sheep, goats and livestock, and at 7 p.m. there will be a team roping competition in the rodeo arena.
Judging of dairy, beef and horses will get underway at 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, and a tractor pull will be held in the arena beginning at 7 p.m.
The annual canine contests and an antique tractor display will get underway at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 19. The highlight of the day will be at 6:30 p.m. as the Fair Association hosts its final demolition derby of the year.
The fair kitchen also will be open daily throughout the event.
Clay County Fair catalogs now are available at county offices, at the Clay County Cooperative Extension Service offices in Piggott and Corning and at various other locations.

Will there be no rides for the kids? Or no derby or rodeo? If not imo the fair should be given to Corning, so they can repair it to the wonderful fair we used to have.
