Walter C. Brewer

Walter C. Brewer was born July 12, 1929, in McNairy County, Tenn., the son of the late Walter Carl and Lundya Ann (Milford) Brewer.

He was a General Superintendent for 35 years at Brown Shoe Company, serving at both the Piggott and Selmer, Tenn., factories, and later worked for Wolverine Shoe Company for five years. He was of the Baptist belief.

Mr. Brewer departed this life on June 3, 2009, in Stantonville, Tenn., at the age of 79 Years, 10 Months, 22 Days. He is survived by a daughter, Damaris Price of Michie, Tenn.; a grandchild, Macie Price of Michie, Tenn., and a special friend, Betty Horton of Selmer.

Services were held June 5 at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Adamsville in Adamsville, Tenn., with Brian Rainey officiating. Burial was in the Adamsville Cemetery at Adamsville, Tenn.

Pallbearers were R.B. Leonard, Nicky Shelton, Bo Lambert, Timmy Millmeyer, Harold Hanna and Bill Rankin. Honorary Pallbearers were John Rankin and Glen Rankin.
