Douglas Elwood Moore

Douglas Elwood Moore, 66, of Piggott died Thursday, May 28, 2009, at St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center at Jonesboro.

He was born in Chicago, Ill. on August 11, 1942, the son of Isaac Elwood and Marcel (Underwood) Moore.

He was an Army veteran, was of the Baptist faith and worked as a carpenter.

He was preceded in death by his father Isaac Elwood Moore.

Survivors include his wife, Marlowe (Opall) Moore of Murphy Health and Rehabilitation of Piggott; two sons, Douglas James Moore and David Isaac Moore; one daughter, Lydia Jean Moore; one brother, Roy Delaine Moore and a host of other relatives and friends.

Memorial services were held at the Emanuel Baptist Church in Piggott Saturday, May 30. Interment will be at a later date.

Irby Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of arrangements.
