This is homecoming week at PHS, with the activities scheduled to culminate with the annual homecoming game Friday night against the Earle Bulldogs. Prior to the contest, at 7 p.m. this year's homecoming queen, Elise Watson, and her court will be introduced. Members of the court this year include--Penny McCluskey, Taylor Coomer, Taylor Davis, Danielle Tompkins, Emily Innes, Hunter French, Misti Corter, Aerielle Cate, Alyssa Kennedy and Allison Gurley. The court, along with volleyball beau Kalem Rouse, will also be honored at the annual royalty assembly at 9 a.m. Friday morning at PHS.

Throughout the week students have been observing homecoming week activities, which included "pajama day" and "80's dress day" among others. Another high spot of the week will be the annual parade which is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. Friday. This year's parade route will begin at the high school; go to the elementary school then on to Main Street and to the downtown square. The parade participants will then circle the square and return to PHS.

The weather should be near perfect Friday night for the annual ballgame, and all Mohawks fans are encouraged to come out and support the Tribe as they take on the Bulldogs.
