Piggott-area teams finished strong in the 25th annual Tammy Wynette Three Man Scramble at the Malden Country Club, and the Hank Watson Municipal Golf Course, as a total of 72 teams took part in the popular event.

The team of Johnny Downing and Ashley McMillian of Malden, along with C.W. Knauts of Piggott, fired 57-58-115 to nail down first place. Second went to the team of Kyle Christian and Matt Gill of Dexter, along with Brandon Stone of Malden, who carded 58-60-118.

Another Piggott team, made up of Kevin Jones, Barry DeHart and Daniel Gossett, finished strong on Sunday with the day's low score to card 62-57-119 for a third place finish.

The Piggott team of David Lyman, Gary Moffitt and Brad Hardwell finished in a tie for fourth place with a solid effort of 59-62-121. That team also won the big "skins" jackpot of over $1,100 in a scorecard drawing after no "skins" were out on Saturday.
