Richard Lloyd "Dick" Heidbreder, 68, of Poplar Bluff, formerly of Corning, died Friday, June 20, 2008, at his residence.

He was born Feb. 15, 1940, in Sioux City, Iowa. He began his career in design and sale of monuments with the Clay County Monument Co. and later retired as owner and operator of Corning Monument Co, in Corning. He was a lifelong Razorback fan, and a skilled craftsman who loved working with wood.

Survivors include four children, Greta Wright and husband Bill of Little Rock, Lee Sisson and husband Larry of Germantown, Tenn., Stacy Johnson of Poplar Bluff and Lanny Heidbreder and wife Brannan of Jonesboro; five grandchildren, John Lee Wright, Wesley Wright, William Sisson, Caroline Sisson and Ian Johnson; a sister, Janet Heidbreder Roeder and husband Don of Piggott, and a dear friend, Helen Heidbreder of Poplar Bluff.

His parents, Lloyd H. and Dorothy (Russell) Heidbreder, preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Sunday, June 23, at the Cotrell Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff with the Rev. John Harwell officiating. Burial was in the New Hope Cemetery at Pollard.
