Lena Langdon, 87, of Piggott died Friday, April 25, 2008, at her home.

She was born Jan. 13, 1921, in Parma, Mo., the daughter of the late William Samuel and Hallie Jane Maxwell Romine.

She was united in marriage to Fred Langdon on Aug. 14, 1937.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Langdon; her daughter, Judy Langdon; three sisters, and four brothers.

Survivors include three daughters, Mary Jane Patten and husband James E. of Bowden, Ga., Brenda Vandaveer of Norfolk, Va., and Linda Collins and husband Jack of Arcadia, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Alta Bierman of St. Charles, Mo., and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, April 28, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Jay Masterson and Jim Patten officiating. Burial was in the Corning Cemetery. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
