Lura Mable Turman, 91, of Hot Springs died Saturday, April 12, 2008.

She was born Jan. 19, 1917, at Piggott, to Rolla Throgmorton and Janie (Brandon) Throgmorton.

She was a beautician for over 40 years, working until she was 82 years of age, and was a member of Aldridge Road Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ellsworth Truman; her parents, and 10 siblings.

She is survived by a son and his wife, Travis and Carolyn Turman of Hot Springs; a daughter and her husband, Karen and Jack Haywood of Hot Springs; seven grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, April 15, in the chapel of Gross Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Essner officiating. Burial followed later that day in Piggott Cemetery, with Bro. Topper Killough officiating.

Pallbearers were Jason Haywood, Mark Burris, Sid Hollis, Donald Burris, Jack Haywood, Frank Green and Gary Pope. Honorary pallbearers were Brad Haywood and Eric Hoover.
