Last spring the Piggott Lady Mohawks saw their season end in the first round of the district tournament at Brookland at the hands of the upstart Lady Bearcats. Last Thursday the Mohawks hosted the Brookland squad at Independence Park and fell 5-0.

The Tribe hung with the Bearcats in the early going, and trailed just 2-0 going into the final inning. But in the seventh frame the visitors hung three more runs on the Mohawks, as Brookland's Ginny Nelms threw a complete game no-hitter. Chelsea Grimes worked the full game for the Piggott girls and took the loss.

The Mohawks were scheduled to visit Marmaduke on Tuesday afternoon, and weather permitting will visit Brookland Thursday afternoon.
