Limuel Oscar Blurton, 67, of Ellsinore, Mo., formerly of Wardell, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2008, at his home.

He was born Sept. 15, 1940, in Swift, Mo., the son of Oscar Blurton and Ella Mae (Petty) Blurton. He married Martha Blurton on July 16, 1966, in Wardell, and she preceded him in death April 15, 2006.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; a baby boy; a brother, J.W. Blurton; and a sister, Flossie Blurton.

He is survived by two sons, Limuel Dwayne Blurton of Piggott and William Glenn Stansell of Poplar Bluff; three daughters, Vickie and husband Bryan Hankins of Chatham Ill., Teresa and husband James Herren and Karen and husband Robert Shaffers, all of Ellsinore; three brothers, Sterling, Ray and Bob Blurton, all of Wardell; two sisters, Lois Gaskins and Mary and husband James Band, all of Wardell; along with 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Friday, Feb. 1, at the Brimhall Funeral Home Chapel in Wardell with William Quillen officiating. Burial was in the Wardell Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tyler Hankins, James Buchanan, Robert Schaffer, Jacob Schaffer, Glenn Stansell and Dalton Cruz.

The Brimhall Funeral Home of Wardell was in charge of the arrangements.
