Blake, a retiree of the United States Post Office, was a member of the Greenbrier Church of Christ from 1972 to 2007, where he served as an elder. He was recently a member of the White Oak Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Hattie Doughten Blake of Greenbrier; two sons, Scott Blake and wife, Michelle, of Mountain View, and Tim Blake and wife, Laura, of Greenbrier; two daughters, Donna Blake Mills and husband, Tim, of Greenbrier and Julie Blake Permenter and husband, Mike, of Greenbrier; seven grandsons, Alex Mills, Clay Blake, Seth Mills, Stephen Blake, Adam Blake, Samuel Blake and Luke Permenter; a granddaughter, Bonnie Permenter; two brothers, Clayton Blake of Conway and Bill Blake of Piggott, and two sisters, Betty Blake Moody and Bonnie Blake Bell of Piggott.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 20, at the Church of Christ in Greenbrier with Ted Knight and Charles Bane officiating. Interment was in Thorn Cemetery in Greenbrier.
Pallbearers were his nephews, Larry Moody, Johnny Moody, Steve Bell, Clay Bell, David Bell and Tony Blake.
