He was born July 6, 1925 in Detroit, Mich. the sons of the late John David and Julia "Gallus" Miller. He was a WWII veteran enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1943, a retired Detroit mounted police officer, a retired bailiff for St. Petersburg, Fla. Court system, a member of the local VFW and was of the Catholic faith.
Mr. Miller was married to Reba Omega Dowdy Oct. 12, 1946. She preceded him in death Oct. 6, 1988. Two children were born to this union. He was married to Margery M. Cook of Greenway May 11, 1989, she survives.
Preceding him in death were, his son William C. Miller, Jr., three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Margery of the home, his son, John David Miller of Holiday, Fla., daughter, Karen Lynn Pilarski-Trouse and her husband Timothy, of Eastpointe, Mich., step-son, Mike Cook and his wife Pat of Piggott, step-daughter, Pamela Cook-Chin of Hanford, Calif., 12 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many other family and friends.
Funeral services were 10 a.m., Oct. 5 in the Irby Funeral Home Chapel at Piggott with Father Matt Garrison officiating. Burial followed in the Mitchell Cemetery at Greenway.
Pallbearers were; Mark Foster, Kenneth Pilarski, Kraig Pilarski, Stephen Allen, Tim Trouse, and John David Miller, Jr. and Michael Cook.
Arrangements were under the direction of Irby Funeral Home of Piggott.
