Everett P. Nixon, 90, of Rector, died Wednesday, Oct. 3, at his home.

He was a World War II veteran and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Walter and Minnie Lou "Landrum" Nixon, two brothers, Floyd and Roy Nixon and one sister, Zell Parrish Nixon.

He is survived by two sons; Tim Nixon and wife Donna of Piggott and James Nixon and wife Elaine of Piggott, one daughter, Linda Meadows and husband Gary of Ward, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and a special buddy "Misty," his Pomeranian.

Graveside services were Saturday at the Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, Gary Meadows, officiating. Interment followed.

Irby Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
