Goldie Conyers Cooper, 82, of McDougal, died Saturday, August 11, 2007 at the St. Bernard Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born December, 25, 1924 in Pollard, the daughter of the late Raymond B and Elizabeth Millie Causey Conyers.

She was married to Elmer Cooper on September 9, 1941.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer; one daughter, Saundra Cooper Brown; three brothers, David Conyers, R. L. Conyers, and Teddy Conyers; one sister, Barbara Conyers.

She is survived by: one daughter, JoAnn McLeskey and husband, Terry of Piggott; two sons, Jack Cooper and wife Gerry and Donnie Cooper and wife Nell both of Pollard; ten grandchildren, Carla Blackwell, Shane McLeskey, Wade Cooper, Daniel Cooper, Tina and Tommy Leonard, Dewayne McCrory, Jill and Steven Pace, Marion and Billy Hardin, Heather and Eric Smith and Jeff Andrews; thirteen great-grandchildren; three brothers: Rawleigh Conyers, Odell Conyers both of Jonesboro, Louis Conyers of Pollard; two sisters: Myrtle Baine of Michigan and Bonnie Garver of Pollard and other relatives and friends.

Visitation was Monday, with funeral services following on Tuesday, Aug. 14, in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Loy Culver officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery in Pollard. Pallbearers were Jerry Grider, Jeff Andrews, Daniel Cooper, Johnny Mansker, Spencer Permenter and Billy Hardin; Honorary pallbearers were John Dover, Ray White, Doyne Neeley Ronnie Neeley, Donald Grissom, Sonny Rigdon, Robert Welty, Jr. Jackson, Luke Palmer, Dennis Calhoun, Bill Cosby, Fred Gross and Todd Couch. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
