Perry Allen Haywood

Perry Allen Haywood, 70, of Cedar Hill, Texas, died July 26, 2007 at the Methodist Hospital in Dallas.

Born June 10, 1937, in Holcomb, he was the son of the late Hershel and Berty Perry Haywood. He was raised by his grandmother Netty and E.W. "Boss" Brown after the death of his mother during childbirth.

He is survived by: his wife, Bonnie Nedeau Haywood; two sons Dean and Dale of Cedar Hill, Texas; three daughters Debbie Morrow and husband Jim of Jonesboro, Theresa Musgrove and husband Mick of Farmington, Mo., Pamela Sterling and husband Joel of New Berg, Oreg.; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and four sisters: Madge Goans of Pontiac, Mich., Linda Beckwith of Arnold, Mo., Shirley Bader and husband John of Hillsboro, Mo., Vicky Allen and husband Chuck of Campbell, Mo., and many nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances.

He was preceded in death by a son, Perry Jr., and brothers Jack and Carrol Haywood.

Perry enlisted in the United States Air Force in June 1955 and retired at Dyess AFB in Abilene, Texas. He was stationed in France, England, Vietnam, and flew temporary duties to 19 countries. After retiring, he drove an 18 wheeler, traveling to 47 states. He loved to travel, camp, hunt and fish.

Perry gave his life to the Lord in 1990. He attended church at the Abundant Life Assembly of God Church in Grand Prairie, Texas. Services were held at the church on August 4. Burial will be in Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery with military honors.
