Terry Dewayne Karnes, 55, of Corning died Friday, July 27, 2007, at Piggott Community Hospital. He was born Aug. 11, 1951 in Piggott, the son of Denzil Roy and Ethel (Nixon) Karnes-Guthry, who preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife Penny (Cullins); three sons: Tommy Ray Karnes and Amanda and Scott Allen Karnes all of St Louis, and Terry Dewayne "T.J." Karnes Jr. of Corning; one daughter, Sandy Wareing and Scott of Paragould; one sister, Marcia Tyler and Kenny of Pollard; two brothers, Alvin "Bud" Karnes and Tammy of Festus, Mo., and Denny Lynn "Skeeter" Karnes of Fenton, Mo.; along with six grandchildren: Danielle Karnes, Ashley Karnes, and Isabella "Issy" Karnes all of St. Louis, Sky Guy of Corning, and Marc Wareing and Bethany Wareing of Paragould.

Karnes was a farmer, a veteran and was of the Pentecostal faith. A private memorial service was to be held at a later date, with Ermert Funeral Home of Corning in charge of the arrangements.
