Kenneth E. Spicer

Kenneth E. Spicer, 62, of Lauderdale, Miss., died Tuesday, June 5, 2007, in Meridian, Miss.

He was born on Jan. 23, 1945 in Detroit, Mich., and was the son of the late J. W. "Pete" and Mildred Martin Spicer.

He is survived by his wife Peggy; one son, Kenneth W. Spicer of Cherry Valley, Calif., two daughters: Michelle Spicer of Mentone, Calif., and Sandra Sheely of Union, Miss.; five grandchildren: Nikki Sheely, Amanda Spicer, Breanna Sheely, Josiah Spicer and Samuel Spicer; one brother, Howard Spicer of Piggott; two uncles: Wayne Spicer of Greenway, and Eugene Martin of Rector, one nephew, Neal Spicer of Jonesboro, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Kenneth spent most of his adult life as a truck driver. He retired as a teamster from Yellow Freight with over 28 years of service.

Visitation was held Friday, June 8, at Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home in Piggott and graveside services follwed at Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway, with Pastor Ken Spicer officiating. Pallbearers were Max Poole, Darrell Dalton, Gayle Garver, Terry McLeskey, Danny Peden, Mack Walters, Sonny Shaw, David A.
