She was born Nov. 6, 1913 in Bunga, Ill., and was the daughter of the late Albert and Hallie McGehee Stallings.
She was united in marriage to Howard Stewart on Nov. 23, 1929. To this union four children were born.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Stewart; one daughter, Norma Jean Stewart; one son, Marlin Stewart; one great granddaughter; two brothers, Gene Stallings and Clyde Stallings; two sisters, Freida Underwood and Louise Holcomb.
She is survived by two sons; Wayne Stewart of Olla, La., and Craig Stewart of Piggott; ten grandchildren; Cheryl, Kim, Pam, Grant, Matthew, Angie, Tony, Steve, Rick and Scott; twenty great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; three sisters; Ruby Martz and Marguerite Swift both of Piggott, and Monedith Simpson of Chula Vista, Calif. and other relatives and friends.
Visitation was Tuesday, with funeral services following on Wednesday, May 2, in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Joe Payne officiating. Burial will be in the Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers were Tony Pace, Steve Pace, Larry Holcomb, Jim Swift, Rick Stewart and Scott Stewart. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
