Helen Kramer Smothers, 88, of Woodstock, Ill., died Monday April 9, 2007, at the Florence Nursing Home in Marengo, Ill.

She was born in Steele, Mo. on Feb. 25, 1919 to Robert Harvey and Martha Jane (Dildine) White. She was the oldest of thirteen children.

Helen was a member of the Church of Christ in Rolling Meadows.

She was preceded in death by her parents and twelve brothers and sisters.

She is survived by one daughter Ethel (Wendel) Moore of Woodstock; two grandchildren, Sharis D. (Stephen) Bradley and Jennifer L (Joseph) Capolina; two great grandchildren, Katherine Jane and Andrew Christopher Bradley.

Visitation and funeral was Thursday, April 12 at the Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home in Woodstock. Bob Fisk presided.

Graveside services were Saturday, April 14, at the Piggott Cemetery with Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott in charge.
