Edna B. McKenney Potter, 87, of Piggott died on Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at the home of her daughter.

She was born April 3, 1919 at Dexter, Mo., and was the daughter of the late Samuel and Susie Mitchell Roach.

Edna was united in marriage on Sept. 2, 1939, to Elbert McKenney who preceded her in death in 1963. One daughter was born of this union.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Jack and Bud Roach.

In 1985 Edna was married to Sam Potter, of Fagus, Missouri, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Sue Bell of Piggott; one grandson, Durbin (Pat) Bell of Piggott; two brothers, Noel Roach of Ann Arbor, Mich., Earl (Jan) Roach of St. Charles, Mo.; one sister, Doris Garver of Jonesboro and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.

Visitation was Thursday, and funeral services were held Friday, March 23, in the Hoggard & Sons Chapel with Gary Hancock officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery. Pallbearers were John McKenney, Gary McKenney, Roger McKenney, Ira Causey, Bob Causey and Delmar Causey. Honorary pallbearers will be Ray White, Kenneth Potter, Donald Causey and John Cochran. Hoggard & Sons Funeral Home of Piggott is in charge of the arrangements.
