He was born Sep. 24, 1973 in Hinsdale, Ill. He also lived in Bolingbrook, Ill., Piggott, Hazlehurst, Ga., and Augusta, Ga. He graduated from Hephzibah High School in the Augusta area. He was a hardworking young man, a golfer, softball player, and an avid Razorback fan. He was a wonderful husband, son, brother, and uncle as well as a good friend to all.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, March 13, at the Collins Funeral Home in Acworth, Ga. An additional memorial service is to be held Thursday, March 15, at Miracle Baptist Church in the Augusta area. Family and friends spoke at both services. It was a time to mourn, share memories, see old friends, heal, and celebrate the life and happiness of a wonderful person. Friends were invited to honor him by wearing their favorite clothes.
Scott is survived by his wife, Kimberly Valle James of Acworth, Ga., his parents, Charles "Chuck" and Patricia "Pat" James of Augusta; sister, Penny Wahab of New Orleans; brother, Wesley James of Southaven, Miss.; grandmother, Betty Parker of Piggott, as well as numerous family members, including five nephews and three nieces.
