Finis Joel Templeton died Feb. 27, 2007 at William Beaumont Army Medical Center in El Paso, Texas. He was born April 28, 1920 at Piggott, the son of

W. D. & Mabel Holcomb Templeton.

Finis served in the U.S. Marines nearly five years, and was stationed in Samoa during part of his tour of duty.

He played football for the Piggott High School Mohawks in the late 1930s.

Finis is survived by one brother, Julius Larue Templeton (Ruby), Spanaway, Wash.; his dear friend & companion, Charlotte Doyle of El Paso, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Finis' siblings who have died before him are: Everette Templeton; Henry Templeton: Geneva T. Outlaw, Woodrow Templeton, and Hazel Templeton.

A funeral service for Finis was held at Restlawn Funeral Chapel in El Paso and burial followed at Ft. Bliss National Cemetery in El Paso.
