Howard Eugene Huffman

Howard Eugene Huffman, 79, of the General Baptist Nursing Home at Campbell, Mo., and formerly of Piggott, died on Thursday, Dec. 28, 2006, at the Piggott Community Hospital after a long illness.

He was born in Greenway on March 28, 1927 to the late Clarence Matthew and Erma (Bell) Huffman.

He was a carpenter by occupation and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include two daughters, Brenda Harper of Russelville and Wanda Morris of Piggott; three sisters, Dortha Mae McMillon of Frisbee, Mo., Ruby Helen Huffman of Greenway, and Erma Jean Eubanks of Kennett; grandchildren, great grandchildren, thirteen nieces and nephews that loved him very much and many other relatives and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Howard Dewayne Huffman; three brothers, Harold Huffman, Roy Huffman and Marion Huffman; and one sister, Mimia Downham.

Active Pallbearers are Eddie Eubanks, Ronnie Eubanks, Davey Eubanks, Jason Moody, Jay Gipson and Clarence Mack.

Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 30, at the Irby Funeral Home Chapel with burial following at the Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway.

Arrangements were handled by Irby Funeral Home of Piggott.
