Virgie Lee Alan, 83, died Sept. 29, 2006 in Diamond, Mo., where she had been a home health provider for the past six years.

She was born May 13, 1923 to Josh Jackson and Marie (Call) Turner.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Alvis Turner and three sisters, Lilly Wade, Audrey Thomas, and Jean Harrell.

She is survived by five children, Larry and Elaine Dowdy of Winslow, Ark., Peggy and Dale Powers of Englewood, Colo., Tenna and Doug Auch of Neosho, Mo., Kim and Mary Ellerman of Yuma, Ariz., and David Ellerman of Myrtle Beach, NC.

Funeral services were held Oct. 2, 2006, at Clark Chapel in Neosho.

Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Neosho.
