Doyne Hardin, 82, of Pollard, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2006, in the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.

He was born Dec. 21, 1923, in Crockett, the son of the late Robert Henry and Minnie Florence Carpenter Hardin.

He was united in marriage to Roberta Ayres on June 26, 1949.

He was preceded in death by one daughter, two sons, one brother and one sister.

He is survived by his wife, Roberta Hardin of Pollard; three sons, James Cooper of Lebanon Junction, Ky., Michael Hardin of Pollard, and Danny Lee Hardin of Lexington, Ky.; six grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 26, in the Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Loy Culver and Charles Carrens officiating. Pallbearers were Jerry Grider, Wayne Hendley, Eddie Hendley, Nick Yount, Joe Davis and Joshua Hardin. Burial is in the Mars Hill Cemetery in Crockett. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
