Edward Lee "Buck" Roberts, 71, of Piggott, died Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2006, in the St. Bernards Medical Center om Jonesboro, Ark.

He was born Nov. 23, 1935, in Piggott, the son of the late Abner George and Elsie (Wood) Roberts.

He was united in marriage Linda Ashcraft on March 22, 1957. To this union five children were born.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Roberts of Piggott; five children: Edward Roberts and wife Jackie of Russellville, Ark., Brenda Burns and husband Jackie of Rector, Timothy Roberts and wife Betty of Piggott, Thomas Roberts and wife Cindy of McDougal and Chris Roberts and wife Dana of Piggott; fifteen grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; one brother Charles Roberts of Round Rock, Tex.; one sister Juanita Poe of Greenway and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 2 in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Davey Winberry officiating. Visitation was held at 6 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 1. Burial was in Williams Cemetery near Pollard. Pallbearers were Michael Culver, Matt Culver, Brandon Finley, Bob Mullins, Lenn Holifield and Jesse Crosson. Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of arrangements.
