Donald G. Edwards, 55, of Campbell died Thursday, July 27, 2006, in the General Baptist Nursing Home at Campbell.

He was born Jan. 24, 1951, in Rector, the son of the late John Henry and Helen (Crews) Edwards.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Junior Edwards and Dennis Ray Edwards.

He is survived by three children, Dennis Gene Edwards of Russellville, Denise Edwards of Russellville and Donald Gene Edwards Jr. of Campbell; one granddaughter; four sisters, Virgie Scheffler of Piggott, Neda Terrell of Rector, Sherry Broadway of Piggott and Susie Brown of Kennett; two brothers, Donnie Edwards and Curly Edwards; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, July 31, 2006, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Bill Ward officiating. Burial followed in the Nimmons Cemetery in Nimmons. Pallbearers were Damon Banks, Dennis Banks, Paul Edwards, Timmy Bearden, Steven Bearden and Kyle Johnson.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
