Lonnie E. Starks, 57, of Idalia, Mo., died Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at Missouri Southern Healthcare in Dexter.

He was born May 1, 1949, in Piggott, the son of the late Joseph Lonnie and Sarah Lee (Holifield) Starks.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Josie Lee Mauldin; and a nephew, Jackie Wayne Mauldin.

He is survived by three children, Angel Marie Cochran and husband, John, of Idalia, Mo., Lonnie Starks Jr. of Idalia, Mo., and Bruce Edward Starks of Sikeston; the mother of his children, Pat Fitzpatrick of Idalia, Mo.; five grandchildren, Morgan Massey, Brenton Massey, Patty Copeland, Jeff Thompson and Loni Starks; one sister, Mary Lou Brown and husband, James Ralph, of House Springs, Mo.; many aunts and uncles and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 28, 2006, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Johnnie Bradshaw officiating. Burial followed in the Cummins Chapel Cemetery at Pollard. Pallbearers were Lonnie Starks, Bruce Starks, John Cochran, Kenny Mauldin, Eric Mauldin, Rickie Mauldin, Roger Cale and Coy Leslie Mauldin.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
