She was born April 21, 1925, in Pollard, the daughter of the late John Henry and Florence Crocker Brawner.
She was united in marriage to Nolan Braden on May 2, 1942. They had three children.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers.
She is survived by her husband, Nolan Braden of Pollard; two daughters, Joan Davis of Kennett and Jean Ann Hooten of Pollard; one son, David Braden and wife, Vicki, of Pollard; eight grandchildren, Jeff, Cindy, Billy, Matt, Carrisa, Rick, Jennifer and Tim; 12 great-grandchildren; one brother, Elmer Brawner of Springdale; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, June 20, 2006, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Loy Culver and Charles Carrens officiating. Burial followed in the New Hope Cemetery in Pollard. Pallbearers were Jeff Crittendon, Matt Hooten, Billy Hooten, Rick Braden, Tim Gibbs and John Brawner.
Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
