Raymond Chadwell, 76, of Piggott died Sunday, June 11, 2006, in the Piggott Community Hospital.

He was born March 11, 1930, in Flint, Mich., the son of the late Raymond and Mildred Lane Chadwell.

He was united in marriage to Claudine Rimmer in 1948 and they had five children. She preceded him in death in 2003. He was then united in marriage to Marie Roark on May 14, 2005.

In addition to his parents and first wife, he was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Jeanie, in 1954; and one sister, Letha Hefner.

He is survived by his wife, Marie; two sons, Gary Chadwell of Clio, Mich., and Glen Chadwell of Franklin, Tenn.; two daughters, Dena Ann Gustafson of Traverse City, Mich., and Patricia Gray of Florida; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jewell Chadwell of McKenzie, Tenn., and Wayne Chadwell of Fenton, Mich.; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday (today), June 14, 2006, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Wayne Bowman officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Milan, Tenn.
