Anna Janie King

Anna Janie King, 75, of Sugar Grove, Ill., died Thursday, May 25, 2006, at Provena Mercy Center in Aurora, Ill.

She was born Dec. 11, 1930, in Smithville, the third child of the late Thomas O. and Thelma J. Flowers Coyle.

She graduated from high school at Hardy and went on to attend Southern Baptist College at Walnut Ridge.

She was united in marriage to Willie King on Nov. 9, 1956, in North Aurora, Ill. They had two children.

She was employed at several companies over the years, retiring in 1979. She also volunteered with both the Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts. She was a member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church in Sugar Grove and a member of the Fox Valley Chapter, Order of the Eastern Star Number 265.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Thelma Coyle of Piggott; grandson, Michael King on Aug. 16, 2005; daughter, Terrie King on Nov. 23, 2005; three brothers and one brother-in-law.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Willie King Sr. of Sugar Grove; a son, Willie King Jr. and wife, Margaret, of Sugar Grove; and five grandchildren, William T. King III, Thomas P. King, Anna P. King, David Barrios and Marlena Barrios. She is also survived by her siblings, Thomas Coyle, Paul Coyle, David Coyle and Norma Williams, all of Illinois, Al Coyle of Arizona, and Rose Coyle, Donna (Jim) Parks and Kathy Coyle, all of Piggott; and several nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held on Saturday morning, May 27, 2006, at the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steve Good officiating. Interment followed at the Sugar Grove Cemetery in Sugar Grove, Ill.
