Lorenia Mae Cato, 85, of Qulin died on Wednesday, May 31, 2006, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.

She was born on May 26, 1921, in Qulin, the daughter of the late Alonzo Thomas Fonville Jr. and Rhoda Mae Jordan Fonville.

She was united in marriage to William Arthur Cato Sr. on May 14, 1939, in Qulin. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1989.

Mrs. Cato was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Qulin.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Joette Clements; three sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include two sons, William A. Cato Jr. and wife of McQueeney, Texas, and Adruain Cato and wife of Bowling Green, Ky.; one daughter, Dianne Allen and husband of Pevely, Mo.; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; one sister, Georgetta Digby of Piggott; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2006, at Landess Funeral Chapel in Campbell with Mr. Gerald Berger officiating. Burial followed in the Qulin Cemetery at Qulin.

Landess Funeral Home of Campbell was in charge of the arrangements.
