Keith Layle Garver, 61, of McDougal died Tuesday, May 9, 2006, at his home.

He was born on July 18, 1944, in McDougal, the son of the late Willis E. and Laverna Read Garver.

He was united in marriage to Sharon Bolen on March 4, 1966, in McDougal. They had two children.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Lucille; and three brothers, Dennis, Kenneth and Rex Garver.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon Garver of McDougal; one son, Keith Garver of McDougal; one daughter, Carletta Scobey and husband, Kirk, of Corning; grandchildren, Mackenzie and Whitney Garver and Will and Ella Scobey; his twin brother, Gayle Garver and wife, Lynda, of Piggott; two additional brothers, Royce Garver of Jonesboro and Billy Garver and wife, Brenda, of Qulin; two sisters-in-law, Doris Garver of Jonesboro and Brenda Garver of Brookland; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, May 11, 2006, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Larry Hughes and Joseph Davis officiating. Burial followed in the Post Oak Cemetery in McDougal. Pallbearers were Johnny Mansker, Joe Brown, Harold Bland, Hughey Bland, Jerry Catt and Darrell Parrish.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
