Martha Marie Blurton, 62, of Ellsinore, Mo., died Saturday, April 15, 2006, at her residence.

She was born on Feb. 22, 1944, in Wardell, Mo., the daughter of the late Cecil Hampton and Ruth Cheshire Hampton.

She was united in marriage to Limuel Blurton on July 16, 1966, in Wardell, Mo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one infant son; one sister, Melba Shumate; and three brothers, Cecil Hampton, Leon Hampton and Jerry Hampton.

Survivors include her husband, Limuel Blurton of Ellsinore, Mo.; three daughters, Vickie Hankins of Chatham, Ill., Teresa Herren of Caruthersville, Mo., and Karren Shaffer of Ellsinore, Mo.; two sons, Glen Stansell of Ellsinore, Mo., and Dewayne Blurton of Piggott; three sisters, Dorothy Buck of Poplar Bluff, Earlene Ferguson of Qulin and Julia Hampton of Ellsinore, Mo.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday (today), April 19, 2006, at the Bradshaw Chapel in Wardell, Mo., with Rev. William Quillin officiating. Burial will follow in the Wardell Memorial Cemetery in Wardell.
