Annie Lois Ramey Neel, 89, of Piggott, formerly of Deering, Mo., died on Tuesday, March 21, 2006, in Piggott.

She was born March 20, 1917, in Dyer County, Tenn., the daughter of the late Freeman E. Ramey and Mary Maude Ramey.

She was united in marriage to A.L. Neel Jr. in 1934 in Caruthersville, Mo.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, A.L. Neel Jr.; and three sisters, Irene Townley, Pauline and Lucille Ramey.

Survivors include a daughter, June Lovelace and husband, Bill, of Piggott; a son, Billy Neel and wife, Sally, of Sikeston; four grandchildren, Dr. LaNeel Lovelace of Jonesboro, Larry Lovelace and wife, Misti, of Piggott, Paul Neel and wife, Cristy, of Sikeston and Marilyn Spurlock and husband, Dennis, of Jonesboro; seven great-grandchildren, Amanda, Brandon and Colby Lovelace of Piggott, Ben McMullin of Sikeston, Logan Spurlock of Jonesboro, and Meyer and Martha Neel of Sikeston; one brother, Richard Ramey and wife, Marsha, of Blytheville; and one sister, Francis Wise and husband, Bill, of Tamaroa, Ill.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2006, in the McDaniel Funeral Service Chapel in Kennett with Bro. Bill Lovelace officiating. Burial followed in Memorial Gardens at Kennett. Pallbearers were Larry Lovelace, Brandon Lovelace, Colby Lovelace, Paul Neel, Dennis Spurlock, Logan Spurlock and Ben McMullin.

McDaniel Funeral Service of Kennett was in charge of the arrangements.
