Carl Lucille Casey

Carl Lucille Casey, 81, formerly of the Rector and Pollard areas, died Saturday, Feb. 25, at the Manor Nursing Home in Poplar Bluff, Mo.

Born Feb. 18, 1925 in Clay County to the late Samuel Cagle and May (Creed) Cagle, she was a fancy stitcher for the Brown Shoe Company and a member of Trailers Chapel General Baptist Church.

She also was preceded in death by her husband, Ivan Casey; three brothers, Lylburn, Roy and Billy Cagle, and four sisters, Ruby Henderson, Ruth Bennett, Daisy Cagle and Ellen Moore.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Debby Casey of Olathe, Kans.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyne and Stanley Potts of Poplar Bluff and Teresa and Dale Hanners of Campbell, Mo.; companion, Hubert Crane of Fairdealing, Mo.; one brother and sister-in-law, Darwin and Wilma Cagle of Rector; one sister and brother-in-law, Edna and David Melton of Mammoth Spring; seven grandchildren, Tom Hamilton, Crystal Hamilton Doser, Alex Hanners II, Ivan Hanners, Amber Hanners Minton, Derek Casey and Dalton Casey, and eight great-grandchildren, Preston and Jenna Hamilton, Casey and Anabel Doser, Jennifer and Brandon Hanners, Sierra Minton and Beckett Hanners.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Irby Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Gary Hancock officiating. Burial was in Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers were Alex Hanners II, Ivan Hanners, Derek Casey, Tom Hamilton, Amber Minton, Mark Minton, Crystal Doser, David Doser and David Cagle.
