He was born March 19, 1918, in Boydsville, the son of the late James Alvin and Anna Mae Duty Seal.
He was united in marriage to Euvila Kirk on March 13, 1946. They had one daughter.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Euvila; three brothers, Nuel, Lowell and Billy Lee Seal; and one sister, Nila Mae Seal.
He is survived by one daughter, Donna Hampton and husband, Charles; two grandchildren, Rodney Hampton and wife, Myra, and Crystal Carter and husband, Michael; three great-grandchildren, Allison Hampton, Reese Hampton and Mallory Carter, all of Marmaduke; two brothers, Milam Seal of Piggott and Alvin Seal Jr. of Montrose, Mich.; three sisters, Josie Rose of Pollard, Gertrude Williams of Rector and Anita Burris of Camdenton, Mo.; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday (today), Feb. 22, 2006, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Kim Bridges officiating. Burial will be in the Cummins Chapel Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Keith Seal, Ronald Seal, Jimmy LeCain, Aaron Speer, Michael Carter and Roy Hampton. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Burris, Terry Burris, Audy Seal, Bret Seal and Grover Baker.
