Della Fay Redman

Della Fay Redman, 97, of the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell, formerly of Piggott, died on Sunday, Feb. 5, 2006, at the Piggott Community Hospital.

She was married to William Tell Bowman on July 5, 1927. He preceded her in death. She was then married to James Clovis Redman on July 5, 1941, who also preceded her in death.

Mrs. Redman was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her parents, William Edd and Lavinna Stanley Webster; one brother, David Webster; and one sister, Nellie Bishop.

Survivors include four sons, Terry Redman of Piggott, Howard Redman of Lakeland, Fla., Tell Junior Bowman of Milford, Mich., and Eugene Bowman of Lakeland, Fla.; one daughter, Ozella Bowman Taylor of Rector; one sister, Agnes Bennett of Michigan; 27 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, 2006, at the Irby Funeral Home Chapel in Piggott. Burial followed in Mitchell Cemetery at Greenway. Active pallbearers were Tommy Redmon, Scott Taylor, Mike Bowman, Kurt Bowman, Randy Bowman and Wayne Redman. Honorary pallbearers were Gary Redman, Troy Redman and Steve Chisgar.

Irby Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
