She was born Aug. 23, 1924, in Piggott, the daughter of Doc and Julia (Horn) Lingle.
She was united in marriage to Sidney E. Johnson on Feb. 21, 1942. He preceded her in death on Nov. 24, 1996.
She was employed by Grand Blanc Schools and General Motors as a cook. She had lived in Linden since 1967, coming from Grand Blanc, Mich.
She attended Grand Blanc Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening, music, snowmobiling and spending time with family.
In addition to her parents and first husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Johnny; a brother, Everett Lingle; great-granddaughter, Teanna Rachel; and one stepdaughter, Jan Brown.
She is survived by her husband, Edwin "Ted" Brunsden; daughters, Sandra Jean Montague and husband, David, of Grand Blanc, Mich., and Deborah Ann Walsh and husband, John, of Linden, Mich.; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a cousin, Marshall Horn of Burton, Mich.; and two stepchildren, Larry and Ted Brunsden.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street in Linden. Burial followed in Fairview Cemetery.
