Loleda Allen, 88, of Gideon, Mo., died on Monday, Jan. 30, 2006, at the Gideon Care Center.

She was born on Dec. 2, 1917, in Wardell, Mo., the daughter of the late Grover and Leah Haywood McDaniel.

Mrs. Allen was formerly a cook at the Gideon Schools.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Durrell McDaniel; and one sister, Valerie Cain.

She is survived by two daughters, Patty Breeden and husband, Jim, of Holcomb and JoAnn Reesha of Kennett; a son, Terry Allen and wife, Nell, of Piggott; one brother, Doyle McDaniel of Wood River, Ill.; one grandson, Dr. Scott Allen of Jonesboro; two granddaughters, Krysty Holt of Kennett and Terica Allen of Piggott; one stepgrandson, Larry Cloninger of Little Rock; one stepgranddaughter, Jean Cloninger of Piggott; and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (today), Feb. 1, 2006, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel in Gideon with Rev. Cleo Payne officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Gideon.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Gideon was in charge of the arrangements.
