She was born in Senath, the daughter of the late Virgil and Lula Jane (Rogers) Harris.
She was a member of the Church of Christ for many years, attending at Greenway during her later years. Flynt was a school teacher, teaching business and English.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Flynt; one brother, J.R. Harris; and one sister, Viola Harris Pritchard.
Survivors include her daughter, Jane Cook and husband, Dub, of Greenway; two grandchildren, David Thrasher and wife, Angie, of Richmond, Va., and Leigh Anne Kippeny and husband, Tadd, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; two great-grandchildren, Tyler and Madison Thrasher; and one special friend who is like a daughter, Carolyn Burris of Piggott.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2006, at the Irby Funeral Home in Piggott with Bro. Art Smith, Bro. Tim Carter and Bro. Topper Killough officiating. Burial followed in Mitchell Cemetery at Greenway. Active pallbearers were Donald Burris, Newton Wells Jr., Carl Ed Lovelady, Larry Wyss, Joe Wells and Steve Holcomb. Honorary pallbearers were Hardin Hill, Donnie Wells, Sidney Hollis, Ed Wells, Charles Hollis and Allan Branson.
Irby Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
