Martha Benefield Kirkpatrick, 52, of Garland, Texas, died on Saturday, Jan. 14, 2006, in Baylor Medical Center in Garland, Texas.

She was born Sept. 4, 1953, in Piggott, the daughter of the late Tom and Mary (Cryer) Benefield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Odell Otte.

She is survived by her husband of 12 years, Michael D. Kirkpatrick of Garland, Texas; a son, Tom Haag of Dallas; a daughter, Lacie Wood and husband, Chet, of Plano, Texas; three sisters, Pat Colter of Piggott, Bobbie White of Paragould and Mary Kay Benefield of Paragould; three brothers, Joe Otte of Lanexa, Va., Gene Otte of Campbell and N.J. Benefield of Rector.

Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2006, in the Williams Memorial Chapel in Garland with Rev. Larry G. Dickens officiating. Interment followed in Garland Memorial Park. Pallbearers were Larry M., Donnie S., Jason H., Darrell M., Ronnie M. and Kenneth O.

Williams Funeral Directors of Garland, Texas, were in charge of the arrangements.
