K. D. Driver

K. D. Driver, 69, a resident of Dover, died Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2006, at his home.

He was born Dec. 28, 1936, at Eastland, Texas, to D. M. and Esther Mae Moore Driver.

He was a building contractor and owned Driver Construction. He enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds and animals. When not working, he could be found at Dewayne's Bar-B-Q & Grill visiting with his friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jerry Dean Driver; and two sisters, Dorothy Price and Yuvonne Smith.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Mellena Driver of Dover; two daughters and sons-in-law, Marian and Chuck McLaughlin of Dover and Cindy and Randy Pfeifer of Dardanelle; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Jeanette Driver of Midland, Texas, and Charles and Charlotte Driver of Leesville, La.; six grandchildren, Vanessa and Blake Jackson, Parker McLaughlin, Nick and Brooke Pfeifer, and Hanah Driver; and other relatives and friends.

The family will received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2006, at Shinn Funeral Service.
