Mary Lou Goodman, 78, of Rector died Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould.

Born April 24, 1927, in Traverse City, Mich., she was a member of the Fifth and Pine Church of Christ, a homemaker and had lived in the community 10 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Harold Goodman, one brother and one step-sister.

Survivors include three sons, Charles Harold Goodman Jr. of Los Angeles, Calif., William Timothy Goodman of Piggott and Mike Goodman of Kennett, Mo.; two daughters, Carrie Ellis of Paragould and Rosemary VanNorman of Michigan, nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, Jan. 11) at the Fifth and Pine Church of Christ in Rector with Ken Roden officiating. Burial will be in Harvey's Chapel Cemetery near Marmaduke with Irby Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Householder, Bill Benson, Todd Ford, Bobby Tracer, Davey Nicley and Melvin Lindsey. Honorary pallbearer will be Jerry Anderson.
