Roy Rudolph Huffman

Roy Rudolph Huffman, 84, of Piggott died Friday, Jan. 06, 2006, at the Westwood Hills Nursing Center in Poplar Bluff.

He was born Sept. 14, 1921, in Greenway, the son of Clarence Mack and Erma (Bell) Huffman.

He served his country during World War II and was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant.

He was united in marriage to Jean (Kendrick) Huffman on Aug. 10, 1939. She preceded him in death on Oct. 13, 1989.

Two brothers, Harold and Marion; and one sister, Mimia Downham, also preceded him in death.

He is survived by two daughters, Jerri Mann and husband, Billy, of Piggott and Judy Moore of Doniphan, Mo.; two sons, Clarence Huffman and wife, Jane, of Rector and Tim Huffman and wife, Jeanne, of Poplar Bluff; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; one brother, Howard of Campbell; three sisters, Dortha McMillion and husband, Joe, of Holcomb, Ruby Huffman of Greenway and Erma Jean Eubanks of Kennett; and many other friends and relatives.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 8, 2006, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel in Piggott with Ken Roden and Jon Huffman officiating. Burial followed in the Mitchell Cemetery in Greenway. Pallbearers were James Grissom, Bert Watson, Sam Williams, Byron Duncan, Ronald Ficke and Frank Niederkorn.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
