Born on Thursday, July 16, 1925, he was the son of the late Edgar and Jessie Graddy Pike.
Mr. Pike was employed as a heavy construction worker. He served in the Army during World War II.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Catherine Pike; and a brother, Howard Pike.
Survivors include his wife, Mary W. Pike of Columbia; son, Eddie Pike of Columbia; three daughters, Cynthia Roy of Patterson, La., Carolyn Tison and husband, Gene, of Columbia and Branda Jackson and husband, Glen, of Columbia; a granddaughter he reared, Laressa Barnes; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, in the Chapel of Riser Funeral Home in Columbia with Jim Washam officiating. Burial followed in Amity Cemetery.
Riser Funeral Home of Columbia was in charge of the arrangements.
