Junell Johnson

Junell Johnson, 74, of Piggott died Thursday, Sept. 29, 2005, in St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

She was born June 15, 1931, in Piggott, the daughter of the late Nathan Zelmer and Luda Bell Brandon Smith.

She was united in marriage to Bobby G. Johnson on Sept. 28, 1951. They had four children.

She was preceded in death by one infant daughter, Barbara Johnson; three brothers, Ezra, Oral and James Smith; and one sister, Mary Ellen Eskew.

She is survived by her husband, Bobby G. Johnson of Piggott; three children, Vickie Jean Clark and husband, Jerry, of Huntsville, Marcia Lynn Coyle and husband, Danny, of Piggott and Sarah Nell Poole and husband, Sam, of Piggott; five grandchildren, Amy Marie Pelts of Lenexa, Kans., Tiffany Jo Simpson and Brooke Simpson, both of Piggott, Matthew Clark of El Cajon, Calif., and Wesley Poole of Piggott; three great-grandchildren, Joey Simpson, Morgan Pelts and Caleb Pelts; one brother, Lem Smith of Holcomb, Mo.; one sister, Jean Stahl of O'Fallon, Ill.; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2005, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Richard Akins, Kevin Eskew and Jerry Morgan officiating. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery in Piggott. Pallbearers were Brent Coomer, Wesley Poole, Kim Eskew, Byron Pelts, Jason Simpson and Chris Simpson.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
