Jewell McCullough

Jewell McCullough, 95, of Piggott died Friday, Sept. 23, 2005, in the Mark Twain Caring Center in Poplar Bluff.

She was born Jan. 25, 1910, in Earle, the daughter of the late Joe Robert and Irene Sumner Scott.

She was united in marriage to Wilson McCullough on Aug. 11, 1928. He preceded her in death on May 3, 1978.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Hazel Williams and Maydean Turner; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three brothers; and two sisters.

She is survived by three sons, John McCullough and wife, Betty, of Hot Springs, Wilson E. McCullough and wife, Martha, of Stoutsville, Mo., and A.J. McCullough and wife, Sue, of Elisnore, Mo.; two daughters, Mildred Dahlgren and husband, Edwin, of Poplar Bluff and Lena "Totsy" Causey and husband, Ira, of Piggott; two sisters, Frances McCullough of Eupora, Miss., and Ruby Snider of Memphis; one brother, Joe Sanders of California; 20 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, 2005, in the Hoggard and Sons Chapel with Anthony Dowdy officiating. Burial followed in the Piggott Cemetery. Pallbearers were Jim Williams, Gary McCullough, Randy McCullough, Larry McCullough, Scott Crossfield, Rodney Crossfield, Reggie Crossfield, Dan Dahlgren and Rick Dahlgren.

Hoggard and Sons Funeral Home of Piggott was in charge of the arrangements.
